Hey, according to my friend Micki, there's another blog called 'Treespring'! Nope, I didn't absentmindedly start a second blog when I wandered away from this one. *grin* That's what you were thinking, wasn't it?

Well, this other Treespring has a lot in common with me. He likes looking at the moon; I once saw someone get mooned! He raises birds; I've been called a birdbr..ahem!.., nevermind.
*Laughs merrily.*

Seriously, though, I don't mind sharing a name with a really cool person. Who would? *More laughter.*

Hello again, my friend! You may have noticed that there are no recent posts here. My Real Life alter ego has been stingy about sharing the keyboard. She's been yakking with her online groups as though there were interesting things to talk about in the mundane world.

Here's the sort of stuff she's posting:

"...I have really bad astigmatism.
Um, that sounds like I have a disease,
but it only means I can't accurately
judge distances, hang pictures straight,
or aim a flyswatter.

Well, our Pomeranian suddenly took
a strong dislike to houseflies, gnats,
moths, bees...any flying insect. (We
think the little guy must've suffered a
sting of some kind.) Anyway, when any
flying insect would get into the house, the
dog would bark at the pesky bug
until Dear Husband came to the rescue with
the flyswatter.

One day a housefly got into the house when
Dear Husband wasn't home. The dog was running
through the house, chasing it, barking as though
he was yelling for someone to call 911.

I tried my best to clobber the housefly
with a flyswatter, but,..*shrug*,..I chipped
a little paint off the wall next to where the
fly sat. The little demon flew a victory lap
around my head before he buzzed away to tease the
dog some more.

Out of desperation I rolled up a damp tea towel,
and flicked it in the general direction of the
fly.

BINGO!!!!!

The dog was so pleased with me. His humans
both know how to remove the invaders from his
domain now. I guess he thinks all of his barking and
running around like a nut finally paid off..."

Hmmmph! I think she should've called 911.
They have a SWAT team, right? :o)

Canine houseguest

*Barking joyously, two small dogs race through the nymph's (formerly) immaculate home. The nymph follows with a bucket of sudsy water and a mop.*

*Nymph notices that the guest has paused to 'claim' another household item as it's very own. Sighing, the nymph begins to clean the piddled-upon item and the surrounding floor tiles.*

Hey, darn it, I asked you not to do that!

*The canine guest apologizes abjectly by rolling over on its back, exposing its belly.*

Yeah, I know you've got territorial issues, but couldn't you have mentioned your little problem before you accepted my dog's invitation?

*sigh*

Aww, you're really a cute little fellow, aren't you? Yes, you can stay the whole weekend as planned. *The visitor's tail wags delightedly.*

Outdoors you go, my furry friends...This has become a backyard camping adventure!

Shiny nymph teeth; an update

Today I kept my much-postponed appointment to get my teeth cleaned.

(Brushing and flossing at home apparently aren't enough to please the dentist!) ;o)

The nice lady who scrubbed and polished my smile said she couldn't believe I hadn't had my teeth professionally cleaned in ..(mumble)... years.

I received a bag of gifts for dropping by. -Just a bunch of toothpaste samples. No chocolates. Bummer.

Before I left, they took a panoramic photo of my smile. They said it would look like my earrings were in my mouth in the photo, if I left 'em on.

Turns out that they wanted me to _remove_ the earrings. Now, why would they say such a tempting thing to a nymph if they didn't want the earrings left in the ears?

Dental people are confusing. No wonder I only drop in to see them every couple of decades or so!

That's all the news from here. Everything else is just as you imagine it to be, as long as you're imagining it to be a really nutty place. *grin*

I've found a soap opera about a prince.

As punishment for raising a wild son, (and
for being a bad husband to his charming first wife),
he has to marry his unpopular old girlfriend.

This show must've been written by a fan of
the old Muppets show. You can tell that
because the prince's new bride is named
after Gonzo's chicken.

The best part of the show so far was when
the prince had another obligation on the
original wedding date. People were
rushing around in a panic,trying to change
all the wedding arrangements!

The show's okay, but it's a little hard to
follow because they keep cutting into it
with the weather forecast. Ooops, there
it goes again.

Oh well, at least the popcorn's good.

Got my first emails there today! It will be even more exciting when the emails aren't ones I've sent to myself.

Sorry about that burst of disproportionate enthusiasm. I'm trying to go through all the moods on my list today, and 'Enthusiastic' was the only one I lacked. Hey! I've got the complete set of moods now...No, wait, I'm still missing one. It's 'Disappointed'.

Dang, that stinks. I thought I had finished the whole list. *grumble...grouse...mumble *
Okaaay... That's enough. I wouldn't want to overdo 'Disappointed'.
